Cancer Research UK Virtual Winter Run

January 2019

The Cancer Research UK Virtual Winter Run is the new way to keep running during January, and earn a fabulous medal for your efforts.

Following the smash hit success of the original Winter Run Series, runners can now take part wherever they are based, and receive their medal in the post.

What do I have to do?

Enter the event and set up a Cancer Research UK fundraising page to help beat cancer sooner.

The challenge is to run an average of 10k per week during January, so a cumulative 40k in total by Sunday 3rd February. You can run wherever and whenever you fancy, so take on the streets in the evening, or go for a slow jog at lunch, whatever suits you.

How does it work?

You’ll need to track your runs using Strava, Map My Fitness or Fitbit.

These apps are compatible with the Cancer Research UK Virtual Winter Run, so you’ll be able to see how your challenge is coming along.

Once you’ve completed your final run, a shiny top class medal will drop through the door a few days later.
